A family moves into the suburbs of Gyunggi-do. A while later a girl named Mi-rim goes missing and chaos takes over the village. Mi-rim’s father searches for his daughter and while visiting the police station he stumbles upon a criminal record from one of the family members that just moved. Mi-rim’s father and the villagers threaten and pacify Sejin and his family.
The film follows the genre conventions of a thriller yet it also contains people’s prejudices and oppression. Sejin’s past record as a convict rids him of his individuality and his sister is on the brink of losing her job as a kindergarten teacher. The film questions what is true violence. The result, violence does not just include person to person, but can be silent brought on by a community that leads to a sacrifice of an individual. Such is the typical mechanism, murdering individuality through the violence of a group. (LEE Sang-yong)

Na Hong-jin, director of the 2008 award-winning film “The Chaser,” is back with another action thriller that crosses borderlines. He brings with him “The Chaser” stars Ha Jeong-woo and Kim Yoon-seok, who are once again in the lead.
Gu-nam (Ha), a taxi driver in the Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture in Jilin Province, in Northeastern China, is living with a mounting debt. His wife left for South Korea six months ago and he hasn’t heard from her since. He starts gambling to make money but always ends up losing.
One day, Gu-nam is offered a job that will pay off all his debts. The job is to assassinate someone in South Korea. He takes the job without knowing much about his target and to see his wife. But when he arrives in Seoul, he ends up being chased by the police because he is wanted for a murder that he did not commit. Gu-nam is starting to realize that he has been tricked into a dangerous trap. But the police aren’t the only ones looking for Gu-nam. Myun-ga (Kim), a professional assassin who also lives in Yanbian, is sent to Seoul to look him as well. Gu-nam has two choices: solve the mystery of who hired him and why Myun-ga is after him by himself or end up in jail for the rest of his life.

An action comedy about two men who try to win the title of "the apprehender" by catching a suspect which is as good as winning the lotto. Park Joong-hoon is the leader of the Mapo police department’s Team No. 1, who’s not above running a little interference in the name of improving his performance record. Lee Seon-kyun is the Seodaemun police department’s Team No. 3 leader — who routinely gets the criminals he captures stolen out from under him by Mapo’s sneaky leader. Park’s the polished, slick cop with fancy clothes while Lee’s the scruffy, sorta-slackery cop who’s strapped for cash.
