Synopsis:
Written by a 10-year old Finn Baxter (Christian Martyn) and his family move from California to Maine and settle into their new house. Finn is terrified and believes that the house is haunted. While he sets up traps to catch the "ghost", his parents become stranded across town and Finn is left home alone with his sister, Alexis. Their house is then targeted by 3 thieves (Malcolm McDowell, Debi Mazar, and Eddie Steeples).
Alexis gets trapped in the basement so Finn has to rescue her before the bad guys break into the basement. The thieves want to try to get a painting by Edward Munch worth millions from a house that used to be a bootlegger's house. Finn's parents are stuck at a christmas party from the roads being to icy. While Finn tries to rescue his sister, he buys stuff at the store and sees the thieves talking about his house so Finn heads home and sets traps like spilling a bucket of water turning into ice, on the front steps(A trap from the orignal Home Alone film), Christmas marbles spread out in the garage, Christmas wrap along with tape, and a bucket of tar on the window, and finally, a plate of Gingerbread men with a glass of Milk made with glue and if one of the crooks trys to use the sink, pillow feathers and flour. Finn tells his video game bud that they are thieves. His friend gets concered and call Finn and Alexis' parents, who are coming back to the house. The parents think that Finn's new friend kidnapped him and Alexis and call the police on him. Meanwhile, back at the house, Finn is almost out of booby traps, and the burglars find out that its a kid that did all this stuff to them. They chase Finn out of the house and catch him. They lock him up in the van and one of the crooks Jessica guard him while the other two crooks continue to find the painting. Finn's new friend saves Finn by shooting snowballs at Jessica, knocking her out. Finn escapes to save Alexis. The burglars get to the basement and find the painting and Alexis. Finn makes it for Plan B and end up locking the crooks in the basement. At the end, the criminals go to jail and the family gets $38,000 dollars since the bad guys were wanted in other states. Finn is now not terrified of his house.
